Our Story

Memnoon comes from the Turkish memnun, meaning content, pleased, satisfied and grateful, made international for a woman who lives between worlds. 

Our ladybug is Freyja, goddess of love, beauty and fertility, a sign of abundance and new romantic beginnings. Serious in craft and light in spirit.

Maison Memnoon is a womenswear house designed in Germany and manufactured in Istanbul. Our family factory was founded in 1987 and produced for international luxury houses for decades. Today the house is led by the second generation and the same team has been with us for over 30 years.

Our founder Sera was raised in a women led family and this house continues that legacy with the same care she was taught.

We design for movement between two states. Noon is real life with work, study, care and the city, and it is also our atelier daylight where each piece is sewn. Moon is the goddess self, romantic, intuitive and free.

We work by one principle we call Double Memnun, memnun makers and memnun wearers, because the hands that make the garment should feel as satisfied as the woman who wears it.

Each collection begins with a poem by Sera, drawn from the chapter she is living, and some styles go through seven fittings before they reach the softness and precision we expect. They are cut to move, to hold and to last beyond one season, with a femininity and confidence you can feel when you wear them.

Fabric is a promise we state clearly. We use silk, viscose and cupro when the design allows it, and we use polyester only when the design requires it and only deadstock. 

We commit 3% of our yearly profit to women in higher education, because women shape the backbone of our lives.
